Star Wars: Carrie Fisher Says She’s Returning For Episode VII

Carrie Fisher will need to dust off her long white robe and start twisting her hair into cinnamon rolls – the actress says she’s returning for “Star Wars: Episode VII.”

The 56-year-old actress made the revelation after Palm Beach Illustrated asked her about playing Princess Leia again in the upcoming J.J. Abrams-directed “Star Wars” movie.

“Can you confirm whether you’ll reprise the role of Princess Leia?” she was asked by the magazine. “Yes,” the actress said.

When asked what the rebellion’s fearless heroine would be like today, Carrie explained that she doubts the character will be facing off against Sith Lords or killing Hutt crime bosses on Tatooine (while wearing a slave bikini).

“Elderly. She’s in an intergalactic old folks’ home,” she joked. “I just think she would be just like she was before, only slower and less inclined to be up for the big battle.”

Carrie’s news comes on the heels of a report that Harrison Ford will reprise his Han Solo role.

“Star Wars: Episode VII” has a tentative release date of 2015.
