The cast of beloved comedy series "30 Rock" got together once more in a video to express their gratitude toward Tina Fey, the creator and the executive producer, for the wonderful seven years of working under her leadership. They sang praise for the actress for being a good writer, boss and friend. There were some tears too.
"The person at the top sets the tone," said Jay Mcbrayer. "And, so if you have somebody who's just very talented, very happy to let other talented people do their job, good at delegating, that's all going to trickle down … I think we've all been very lucky that the person at the top knows what she's doing, knows what she wants, and makes it happen."
Wiping away tears, Jane Krakowski additionally said of Fey, "She has gone through a phase in her career where her light shone so brightly. And she shared her light with all of us, which is really sweet of her." Tracy Morgan also got emotional when appearing at the end of the video, calling his colleague "a champion."
Also thanking Fey were fellow actors Alec Baldwin & Dean Winters, executive producer and co-showrunner Robert Carlock, and writer/producer Jack Burditt.
Tina Fey, who plays the female lead character Liz Lemon on "30 Rock", ended the series on a high note. Hot on heels of her lauded hosting gig with "Parks and Recreation" star Amy Poehler at the Golden Globe Awards, she picked up Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Baldwin additionally won Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series at the SAGs for his role as the male lead Jack Donaghy.
"Last Lunch", the final episode of the NBC series, aired January 31. In honor of the newly-ended show, ice-cream company Ben & Jerry's debuted a special Liz Lemon Greek frozen yogurt flavor, which is a lemon Greek frozen yogurt with a blueberry lavender swirl.
