Angry anchorman Rob Morrison, after his weekend arrest for choking his wife, vowed to return and murder his battered spouse, shocking new court papers charged Tuesday.
The nasty WCBS-TV newsman “threatened that if he was released from police custody, he would kill his wife,” the documents released Tuesday indicated.

Rob Morrison, a morning news anchor for CBS 2 News in New York City, was arrested for choking his wife after police say he “became increasingly belligerent” toward her during an argument.
The damning remark was revealed as a Connecticut judge ordered Morrison out of the home that he shared with wife Ashley and their 7-year-old son.
Judge Kenneth Povodator also issued a restraining order requiring Morrison to stay 100 yards away from his wife — except when the two are at work. Ashley Morrison is employed as an anchor for CBS MoneyWatch. The police report about the late-night scuffle “not only reflects a serious incident, it reflects the likelihood of a serious history,” said Povodator.

CBS 2 News anchor Rob Morrison violently choked his wife with both hands during at fight at their suburban Connecticut home early Sunday and then threatened her after he was arrested, police said Monday.
A series of NYPD reports detailed years of domestic strife for the couple, with Morrison portrayed as a hard-drinking, verbally abusive bully with a taste for internet porn.
Cops were called eight times to the Manhattan home of Morrison and beautiful blonde wife Ashley between 2003-09, with officers detailing a stormy marriage packed with plenty of drunken drama. In four of the domestic abuse cases, Ashley Morrison told police that her husband was drinking before they began fighting, a police source said.

The Daily News caught a glimpse of Ashley Morrison at her Connecticut home. Police said she had red marks on her neck consistent with choking.
On New Year’s Eve 2005, Ashley Morrison called police to report that her emotionally-abusive husband was “screaming all the time,” the source said. In July 2009, the couple fought after Morrison came home drunk from a bar and began watching porn on the internet.

Morrison was only arrested once, on July 30, 2009 — but the results of that case remain sealed. Details of the couple’s troubled past emerged just before Morrison arrived at the Connecticut courthouse. “I love my wife more than anything,” said Morrison, 44, before heading into court.
“The last 10 years, she’s been the most important person in my life and she’s helped me through some difficult times.” The television veteran still sported a bruise on his nose and a small cut on his lower lip from the weekend spat with his wife.
