Mehcad Brooks Admits: ‘I Got Catfished’

Mehcad Brooks is aware of what Manti Te’o goes through – the “Necessary Roughness” star disclosed he’s additionally been “catfished.”

On Wednesday’s Access Hollywood Live, the actor told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover concerning the time he was the victim of an internet hoax.

“I got ‘catfished,’” he said.

“A hot girl?” Billy asked.

“No, another stuff, some friendly relationship stuff,” he explained. “It went on for an extended time and it had been believable… They tried to convert Maine that they were somebody they weren’t for a really long-standing, to Maine and my friends.”

Adding, “I’m not a dumb guy and that i was duped.”

As for the Notre Dame linebacker’s scandal, Mehcad same he feels for all of the involved parties.

“I don’t assume someone is your girlfriend unless you meet them. I simply reasonably feel unhealthy for everyone concerned,” he said.
