Justin Bieber's Life Story Will Soon Be a Television Show
ABC is collaborating with Justin Bieber to turn his life story into a sitcom. The as yet untitled project will focus on Bieber's life before he became famous.Bieber may have been snubbed by the Grammy nominating committee (his album "Believe" didn't receive a single nod), but he's still having a pretty good week.
Following in the footsteps of shows like "Life With Chris" (which chronicled Chris Rock's existence when he was a kid) and "Entourage" (loosely based on Mark Wahlberg's life), the Bieber program will showcase the popstar's wacky family and concentrate on his gangly teenage years before he became first a YouTube sensation then an overnight pop icon.
Casting for the young Bieber and the supporting cast will reportedly get underway soon and while he won't star on the show, Bieber and his manager, Scooter Braun, are inked as producers. "Entourage's" creators, Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi are penning the pilot. TVGuide.com reports that the show is "under consideration for next season."
