Janet Jackson Doesn't Want Paris to Be an Actress
Janet Jackson is pretty set against her niece, Paris Jackson, becoming an actress, she tells Prevention magazine. In a new interview with the mag, Jackson says Paris should "enjoy being a kid."
Michael Jackson's daughter, Paris, is already getting into the entertainment business -- she'll star in the fantasy film, Lundon's Bridge and the Three Keys, her first movie role.
It sounds like Aunt Janet, however, doesn't want Paris to lose out on her childhood by pursuing acting at a young age.
Speaking as the voice of experience (all of the Jackson family were involved in show business when they were kids), Jackson explains, "We've spoken about the fact that you're only a child once," adding, "I think there's a time for everything, and now is not the time [to act in films]."
She said she told Paris to "enjoy being a kid, possibly go to college or not, but wait till she turns 18. She's a very tough, smart girl. But it's a cutthroat industry. I wouldn't want my child to do it."
It sounds like solid advice, but will Paris listen?
