will.i.am blames Simon Cowell for Cheryl’s X Factor USA nightmare

We get the feeling will.i.am would fight Cheryl Cole’s corner no matter what.
Especially when it gives him an excuse to have a dig at talent show rival Simon Cowell.
The Voice mentor has revealed he believes X Factor boss Simon is wholly to blame for Cheryl having such a rough time on The X Factor USA.
Last year, Cheryl was famously sacked from her job as judge on the American version of the show, and Will blames the big dog.

“There are English guys that go to America and it’s hard for them,” the Black Eyed Peas frontman said.
“Let’s take Cheryl Cole for example – she went and did a TV show and it was hard for her. And it wasn’t hard for her because of an American – it was hard for her because of a Brit.
“Now that’s kind of weird, isn’t it?”
He’s talking about Simon, right?

X Factor axing

Cheryl was axed from the show after claims she was out of her depth and that many Americans were struggling to understand her thick Geordie accent.
She was replaced by American singer Nicole Scherzinger – famous for fronting girlband, the Pussycat Dolls.
After Kelly Rowland announced she wouldn’t be returning to the UK X Factor this year, the world held its breath as we waited to hear if Cheryl would be invited back. Turns out she was, but she said no.
That’ll teach you to get on the wrong side of a feisty Geordie, Simon.
